We “split” for two different reasons:

  1. (1)Because Expiring tickets expire after 14 days of first use, it isn’t very likely that one Expiring ticket will last across multiple trips.  Because of this, a plain old “Expiring” ticket probably isn’t a very useful comparison to your other ticket options.  To provide something more useful, we calculate “Expiring (split)” by dividing your days into two roughly equal trips and adding the cost of two separate tickets together.  For example, for 9 days in the parks, we use one 5 day trip and one 4 day trip.

  2. (2)Because non-Annual Pass tickets can be purchased with a maximum of 10 days on a single ticket, if you enter more than 10 days:

  3. We don’t show the “Expiring” option.

  4. Both “Expiring (split)” and “Non-Expiring (split)” are calculated by dividing the days into two roughly equal trips, and adding the cost together (for example, for 11 days, one 6 day trip and one 5 day trip).
